Kitchen Hire - $15 per hour
Make use of our kitchen space for hire so you can make and create.
Brand-new Westinghouse oven, and dishwasher, hot water zip, microwave refrigeration and freezer space.
Clean and spacious with plenty of bench space.

Kiwi or Pūkeko Room  - $20 per hour

These spaces are separated by a moveable partition - price is for one of the above mentioned areas.

About	Green Bay Community House is the heart of Green Bay. We aim to provide an exceptional space that we share with our community. This large bright, and multi functional space is suitable for regular groups or  events. Perfect for community gatherings and groups, dance or fitness classes, film screenings, huis, consultations, celebrations like birthday parties and baby showers, training and workshops, markets, fairs, and so much more.
The Space	The  hall  can be divided into two spaces using the internal bifold doors. Pūkeko Room - The wooden floor area of the hall, has French doors that open up onto the large deck which is partially covered to allow protection from the sun or rain. There are polished wooden floors and dance mirrors at one end, making it a great rehearsal space. The Pūkeko room has uninterrupted access to the commercial grade kitchen, via a service window. Kiwi Room - The carpeted side of the hall, includes a white board, and is a great space for workshops or presentations. There is a heat pump in each of these spaces to offer all year comfort by heating or cooling.    The kitchen - Fully equipped with a brand new oven and dishwasher, along with a microwave, zip and fridge freezer. We also have crockery, cutlery and serveware available to our hirers. Available for hire for catering / cooking services. If you require uninterrupted time in the kitchen please get in touch and we can find you some afterhours time slots.

Vital Stats	Pūkeko Room is suitable for a maximum of 35 guests Dimensions are: 9m x 7m ​Kiwi Room is suitable for a maximum of 35 guests Dimensions are: 9m x 7m There are approximately 4 power points in each room. Bring your own extension leads.
Food  & Alcohol	You're welcome to use the kitchen for self catering your event or with external caterers. Included in the kitchen there are two sinks, hot water zip, fridge / freezer, oven and stove top, microwave and dishwasher. We have cutlery, glassware, crockery and cooking and serving equipment available ​We are an alcohol free venue.
Cleaning	Cleaning equipment is provided. You are expected to leave the venue as  you found it. Cleaning and pack up time must be included within your booking, as there may be groups using the space after your allocated time slot. Please ensure you and book enough time to clean it after your event. All rubbish must be removed from the facility. ​Additional Covid 19 Cleaning procedures can be found here
​Location	The Community House is located behind Green Bay New world. There are a variety of shops, including a cafe, supermarket, bakery, dairy, bookshop, florist takeaway, and  public transport options are available. We are also adjacent to the Barron Green play ground.
Accessibility	The hall and deck have wheelchair access and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet in the main hallway. We also have a disabled parking space.  There is a baby changing table within the disabled toilet, but please take nappies away with you.
Parking	There are 12 free private car parking spaces, that are first come first serve to all our users. Residential street parking is available within a short  walk of the centre. The centre is on the 195 bus route that connects Green Bay to New Lynn or the CBD.
Booking	Pukeko and Kiwi rooms are not available for weekend bookings  - the whole hall must be hired on weekends Casual hire / one off bookings are  required to pay a $100 bond, and payment for hire before the event takes place.
​Regular Hirers	We have space available for regular hire. Email or call us to discuss what you need.  We’ll help to promote your activity via our social media channels, network connections and via the community notice board on Godley Road. ​Regular hire bookings will be invoiced monthly, and a key bond of $50 is required
Keys	You will need to collect a hall key from the office in the week prior to your booking.  The office hours are 9am - 2pm Monday to Friday. Keys will only be issued if the payment is processed
Rules	No alcohol No smoking or vaping If you set off the fire alarm, there may be a fine if the fire service are called No sellotape push-pins, tacks or nails to be used on the wooden walls No Bluetack on the hessian walls, but you can use Blutack on the wooden walls Please remove any decorations by end of your session Please take all rubbish with you
