About	Green Bay Community House is the heart of Green Bay. We aim to provide an exceptional space that we share with our community. This large bright, and multi functional space is suitable for regular groups or celebration events. It's perfect for: Community gatherings and groups, huis, consultations, celebrations like birthday or Christmas parties, baby showers,  naming or remembrance ceremonies, training days workshops, markets, fairs, and so much more.
The Space	When you hire the whole house, you get exclusive use of the entire building. Including both the the hall and Fantail room, and all facilities, such as the kitchen and playground. The kitchen is fully equipped with a brand new oven and dishwasher, along with a microwave, zip and fridge freezer. We also have crockery, cutlery and serveware available to our hirers, along with trestle tables for you to use free of charge, both adults and children sizes. The large fully fenced garden and playground open up off the deck, making this a safe and secure play space, perfect for parties.  There is space within the garden for a 5 metre x 5 metre bouncy castle.
Included with the space hire is: ​	24 x 1.8m trestle tables  (1.8m long  x 75cm  wide x 76cm high) 53 stackable chairs 3 children’s trestle tables 20 children's chairs (wooden) 2 Whiteboards Access and use of the kitchen Access and use of the deck and playground Tea and coffee  Access to Fantail Room and all furniture included within this space (4 x couches, coffee table, 8 x stacking chairs, 4 x plastic trestle tables)
Extras	Wifi available for a $5 flat rate​
Vital Stats	The whole house is suitable for a maximum of 100 guests Hall dimensions are:  18 x 9 metres Fantail Dimensions are: 7x7 metres There are 8 power points in the hall and 4 power points within Fantail room. Bring your own extension leads.
Food  & Alcohol	The hall has access to a kitchen which has a serving hatch into the hall. You're welcome to use the kitchen for self catering your event or with external caterers. Included in the kitchen there are two sinks, hot water zip, fridge / freezer, oven and stove top, microwave and dishwasher. We have cutlery, glassware, crockery and cooking and serving equipment available ​We are an alcohol free venue
Cleaning	Cleaning equipment is provided. You are expected to leave the venue as  you found it. Cleaning and pack up time must be included within your booking, as there may be groups using the space after your allocated time slot. Please ensure you and book enough time to clean it after your event. All rubbish must be removed from the facility. ​Additional Covid 19 Cleaning procedures can be found here
​Location	The Community House is located behind Green Bay New world. There are a variety of shops, including a cafe, supermarket, bakery, dairy, bookshop, florist takeaway, and  public transport options are available. We are also adjacent to the Barron Green play ground.
Accessibility	The hall, Fantail room and the deck have wheelchair access and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet in the main hallway. We also have a disabled parking space.  There is a baby changing table within the disabled toilet, but please take nappies away with you.
Parking	There are 12 free private car parking spaces, that are first come first serve to all our users. Residential street parking is available within a short  walk of the centre. The centre is on the 195 bus route that connects Green Bay to New Lynn or the CBD.
Booking	Weekend bookings must adhere to the allocated time slots: Saturday & Sunday 9am -  1pm and 1:30pm - 5:30pm. (There is an option to extend into Saturday evening if required) Casual hire / one off bookings are  required to pay a $100 bond, and payment for hire before the event takes place.
​Regular Hirers	We have regular slots available for regular hire. Email or call us to discuss what you need.  We’ll help to promote your activity via our social media channels, network connections and via the community notice board on Godley Road. ​Regular hire bookings will be invoiced monthly, and a key bond of $50 is required
Keys	You will need to collect a hall key from the office in the week prior to your booking  or we can arrange for it to be left in our lockbox ​.  The office hours are 9am - 2pm Monday to Friday. Keys will only be issued if the payment is processed
Rules	No alcohol No smoking or vaping If you set off the fire alarm, there may be a fine if the fire service are called No sellotape push-pins, tacks or nails to be used on the wooden walls No Bluetack on the hessian walls, but you can use Blutack on the wooden walls Please remove any decorations by end of your session Please take all rubbish with you
